A2.3.2 Integration of Environmental Performance
To truly manage environmental impacts, environmental management must be embedded throughout the organisation. Contrary to the belief of managers all over the world, environmental management is not a ‘bolt-on extra’ that can be left to an environmental person. Environment is not the responsibility of the environmental officer, environmental manager or environmental adviser. It is the responsibility of every employee in every organisation. If it is not considered as such, the benefits will never be realised.
