B3.5.2.2 Controlled Waste
S75(4) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 defines Controlled Waste as:
“household, industrial and commercial waste or any such waste.”
Household, industrial and commercial waste also includes hazardous waste. Labelling skips to identify the type of waste that may be disposed in it is good practice. However, a skip sign stating “Controlled Waste” is useless, as it gives no guidance whatsoever.
