Storage of waste.

There have been some transitional phases of the implementation to this ‘new’ style exemption.

For example, as of the 6th April 2012, the old style Paragraph 13 and Paragraph 21 exemptions must be re-registered as T5 or T6 exemptions.

“Paragraph 13 – Construction and Soil Materials” should now be registered as either:

T5 Screening and Blending of waste or

T6 Treatment of waste wood and waste plant matter by chipping, shredding, cutting or pulverising

“Paragraph 21 – Preparatory treatments of waste plant matter” should now be registered as T6 Treatment of waste wood and waste plant matter by chipping, shredding, cutting or pulverising

The Environment Agency has issued a table detailing the transitions, which is available here:  EA Table of transitional waste exemptions
