A2.2.4 Improved Efficiency of Processes
Good environmental management should lead to improved efficiency of processes. These processes may be manufacturing and production processes, or they may be internal processes such as purchasing.
Good environmental performance can lead to reduced waste, reduced energy and fuel consumption and reduced use of raw materials. This should also lead to reduced wastage, whether that is by-products, defects or waste packaging.
