C3.3.4.8 Scatter Diagrams
A Scatter Diagram uses two sets of numerical data, where you are looking for a possible relationship between one set of data and the other. This is to establish whether a particular cause and effect are related and to identify a potential root cause.
To use this you collect pairs of data where a relationship is suspected and plot an “X-Y” graph. Then look and see f there is an obvious relationship or correlation?
