Clean Air (Emission of Dark Smoke) (Exemption) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1981

These regulations make it an offence to emit dark smoke from industrial or trade premises, with detailed exemptions. They also set conditions for burning.

Clean Air (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 [SI 158] (NI 4) (including amendments up to 2004)

This order sets out controls on smoke, dust and fumes, including rules on chimneys; and introduces smoke control areas.

Smoke Control Areas (Authorised Fuels) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 SR 450

These regulations outline authorised fuels under the Clean Air (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.

Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 [SR 369]

This amends 2008/170 to change the enforcing authority from the Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP) to district councils.
